I thought the woman was Madam Bauer. Instead, she looked over my shoulder and saw Lola standing behind me. Madam Bauer's displeasure turned to anger, her bright red nails digging deep into the door's crack.

When Madam Bauer heard Katheran calling her name from behind the door, her expression changed. She tried to force a smile and said, "I think you are Miss Anne. Our Queen is busy. Usually, no one dares to disturb her at times like this. So if you have nothing important with her, I suggest you leave!"

"Tell Katheran I need to see her!" I said firmly.

"Darling, don't you understand what I just said?" Madam Bauer said warningly. "No one dares to disturb the Queen at moments like this. Never!"

"Maybe I can just go in. Then, you don't have to nag at me!" When I tried to push my way in, Madam Bauer immediately used her round body to block in front of me.
