The sky had darkened, and Ian led me to a balcony in the castle, where he made me stand next to the railing while he stood less than five feet in front of me.
"Third lesson, facing your fears!" Ian said sternly as he pointed behind me and said, "Jump!"
"What?" I asked in shock. "Are you serious? This is at least 100 feet from the ground. I'll die if I jump!"
"I said, jump!" Ian used his alpha voice on me.
I backed away in fear, and my waist touched the guardrail. Ian was approaching me slowly. His face was expressionless, his eyes cold!
"No, don't push me! Please don't!"
But my prayers fell on Ian's deaf ears. There was no pity or sympathy in his eyes. I stared wide-eyed at the man already in front of me as he smiled at me cruelly.
Suddenly he reached and pushed me hard. I was shocked, and my body was falling rapidly. Darkness. I saw darkness surrounding my body. I felt hopeless. I thought I was going to die.
