What was she doing? She needed to stop. Ava could hear the voice inside her head screaming in protest as she kissed Mason. But she didn't stop, just a little longer, she told herself as Mason deepened the kiss, his tongue sweeping over hers possessing every each of her mouth.
This felt so good, kissing him felt so good for a second she was tempted to think that they were a normal couple, she was kissing her husband who she hasn't seen throughout the whole day. There was no wrong in that. But unfortunately, there is nothing normal about them. They are far from being a normal couple. As if her senses suddenly came back to her, Ava pulled away from the kiss.
"I… I am…. Sorry," she stuttered as her brain was foggy and she couldn't string a sentence. She cleared her throat, "I'm sorry...."
"Why are you apologizing?" Mason asked a little confused.
"I shouldn't have kissed you," Ava said. "I'm sorry." She turned to leave the kitchen but Mason held her hand.
