Betty rechecked the name of the mansion on her phone again just to make sure she was in the right place.
"Why would I stalk you Mr Stark? Am here to see my best friend" Betty said. If Mr Stark was present then it was not the right place to be in.
"Don't tell me you're Jarad's second best friend" Ethan folded his arms. He was more than happy to see her right in front of him.
"Nevermind" she rolls her eyes and dialed Evie's number but unfortunately she wasn't picking up.
"Did she boil her phone and ate it? why doesn't she ever pick up?" Betty mutters.
"Do come in Betty" he said. Betty sighs and enters the mansion. Was her fate really tied with his? why can't he ever completely disappear from her life.
Betty took note of her exquisite surrounding, the whole architecture was breath taking. She trailed behind Ethan who was walking in front of her, with hands in his pockets.
"You are best friends with Evie Parker?" Ethan asked.
"Yes" Betty nods, she sat on the plush white couch.
"Did you miss me Betty?" His voice came out deep and seductive.
"No" Betty deadpanned and Ethan chuckled.
"Are you sure?" he leans on her, trapping her with his hands. His face was inches away from her's and if he just leaned further, their lips would meet.
"I_i was a little curious but I didn't miss you".
"Hmm" Ethan buried his face at the crook of her neck and Betty bit her lips, he was exciting her.
"Betty!!!!!" Betty turned to see Evie who had just entered the mansion. Ethan nonchalantly let go of her and Betty ran to meet her. The two best friends hugged each other while ignoring the presence of the two demons in the room.
"How have you been" Evie asked.
"Great, what about you? I called sometime ago but you were unreachable" Betty pouts.
"Am sorry about that but you're here now. let's catch up on things" The two girls went outside the mansion whilst chatting happily among themselves.
They settled at the shades by the pool side.
"So" Betty smiled mischievously. "I can seen you have fallen in love with Mr Higgins" Betty winked.
"Stop spouting nonsense" Evie said.
"But my nonsense is 100% correct, isn't it?" Betty grinned.
"It actually is" Evie sighed. "But I haven't fallen totally in love with him, I just kinda trust him, that's all".
"The guy is alright. Him coming to save your..... I mean our ass that day at the underworld proved he's not that bad." Betty said.
"Hmm" Evie sighs. "And Mr Stark?".
"He's such a pervert!!" Betty frowns. "He's an annoying fly, I really hate him." Betty added and Evie laughed.
"The position I met you guys says something else" Evie pointed out.
Betty's face turned pink. "That's why I said he's a pervert!!. What's he doing here anyway?" Betty asked.
"He's a close friend of Jarad" Evie explained and Betty nodded slowly.
Meanwhile, at the mansion, the two demons sat on the couch like dejected puppies.
"Where's your best friend? I mean Lucifer?" Ethan sipped from his brandy.
"Probably scheming ways to make my life more complicated" Jarad sighs. "He wants Evie" he gritted his teeth.
"You won't give him that right?* Ethan asked. Jarad glared at him.
"Never!!!" he said.
"Jarad as your second best friend" he smirked. " Allow me to remind you of something. The reason you brought the girl home in the first place was to do research on her then send her to Lucifer right? Then in the process, you fell in love with her and claimed her as your mate" Ethan said.
" Ethan shut up before she hears you!!!! " Jarad yelled, he bit his lips really hard and ran his hands through his hair while tugging it really hard.
Though Ethan was completely stupid to him, his wits were sharp. He was able to put two to two together without him explaining the details to him.
"Amileus am right, aren't I?" he grinned as he sipped the brandy elegantly.
The truth hurts a lot. "I really love Evie now okay? I don't care if heaven and hell wants to fall apart, am never giving her up, ever!!!!".
"Now that's coming from a man in love" Ethan shook his head like a pathetic old man and Jarad couldn't resist the urge to smack him on his head.
"Ouch" Ethan pouts as he massaged his head. Just then, Evie and Betty walked in. "Speaking of the angel and she appears" Ethan smirked.
Both girls were giggling about something.
"Betty, I really don't want you to leave. please stay" Evie pleads.
" Uh.. Evie you know I cant." Betty said.
" Because you like Mr Stark?".
Betty's face reddened." You're talking gibberish Evie. Am fine with the apartment, I will most definitely visit you again". Betty said.
"Why are you refusing Salsedo? Evie and Jarad would absolutely love it if you stayed" Ethan threw his arm around Jarad's shoulder.
Betty gritted her teeth, " Actually, my apartment is more closer to work so.. "
" I can shift your resuming time to 1pm" Ethan cut her short and he smirked victoriously.
" Well... I didn't pack anything yet" Betty glared at him. Evie can accompany you to go get your things and be back before dinner time, won't you love that Evie?" he grinned at Evie.
"Yes I would" Evie nodded enthusiastically.
"Allow the lady to do as she please Ethan" Jarad roughly removed Ethan's arm from his shoulder.
"Okay.... I guess am staying" Betty said and Evie squealed..
" Well, we should go right now" Evie was all smiles as she yanked Betty's hand, leading her outside.
Jarad placed a phonecall for his best body guards to accompany them. Both girls entered the SSC Tuatara Betty drove.
Betty was in the driver's seat while Evie was in the passenger's seat, unknowingly to them they were being watched from a distance.
"Lucifer says to just keep watch of them and not to do anything else" Execus said.
" O... Execus we won't be doing much. Just stage an accident for them. Both girls die, then we bring the guardian angel back to life and she would be loyal to us" Delilah smirked.
" That's actually a brilliant idea " They were in a black van, following the girls from a distance.
Delilah placed a call, "Both girls are approaching you soon, make sure to take them out" Delilah said, she ended the call with a sinister smile on her face.
"Am sorry Betty" Evie apologized.
" For what?" Betty asked.
" For forcing you to stay with me, that was a little selfish" Evie said.
" It's okay, it's not like this is the first time " Betty said and both girls chuckled.
An out of control Red truck came at them with full force, The truck crashed into them and everything seemed to come to a halt.
