บท 52: Uneasy Feelings.

"What are you looking at?" Tyler heard his mother ask when she strolled out of the house and met him staring at the car driving past.

"Isn't that Alex's car?" She inquisitively asked as she walked towards him and stood by his side, her eyes trailing after the black car driving past the edge of their fence. "Did you see that girl today?" She asked with a gossipy tone as she turned to Kyle who was paying her an intent look.

Tyler had his gaze zeroed in on his mother whose face was covered in layers of make-up which he believed she had intentionally put on.

"Did you sleep well last night?" He asked as he stepped forward and held her chin, slowly tilting her face from side to side.

"Yes, I did." She replied and caught his hand on her face before taking a step back. A nervous look made a quick flicker through her eyes but she recomposed herself.
