"How did the gangsters run this place? How did you eat?"

"T-They sold everything using crystals Miss. We had to kill a few zombies even for just a bite to eat." And by 'bite' it was meant literally. 

The death rates were extremely high, too. All those who tried to fight had been killed, and their wills to rebel died with them.
