บท 71: Not Joining (Mild R)

Cauis looked at the slumbering woman nestled in his arms filled with love. 

His large hands touched her soft cheek, moving down her neck, and to her back, and he pushed her to him for a deeper snuggle.

Warmth prevailed in his heart for a long time.

If only things could stay like this. 

Unfortunately, he knew full-well that the moment he demanded for exclusivity would be the moment he'd lose her. 

At this depressing thought, his hold tightened a bit and she shifted. Feeling guilty, he gently patted her back, lulling her to sleep. 

He let out a complicated smile as he heard her breathing even out again. 

'Don't think about it', he told himself. 'Just enjoy the time you spend with her.'

The time of peace lasted until the doorbell rang. 

He frowned at the sound and when he noticed Khalifa starting to wake up, he kissed her forehead in reassurance. "Continue sleeping, love. I'll go get it."
