Tears pricked Iris's eyes and her vision blurred. She knew very well by now that this was nothing but a dream and Lord Kieran wasn't truly here with her, but a part of him. It felt wrong, felt like this also felt too real to be a dream though.
She clenched her teeth. The way he was talking scared her.
"Stop it." She said, pulling away from his hold. "Stop acting like this is the end for us and we've already been defeated. You are the High Lord of Aisgarth, the so-called god of death of Asnar. How could you possibly lose a battle?"
"I'm merely preparing you for what might happen, Iris. I'm not as invincible as you think I am." Lord Kieran replied solemnly, his eyes never leaving hers. "Forgive me if I wasn't strong enough."
Iris closed the distance between them and held his arm. "No, don't say that. Please tell me you aren't leaving me."
