"I don't know you," Ava said. "I don't understand why you think you can just barge into my life and become my teacher." Of course, she couldn't risk exposing Matthew and her secrets to other witches.

While she wanted to learn from the old man, the fact that she was a Lycan's mate could complicate everything. It would be hard to explain that. And she couldn't just trust anyone around her.

Ava nodded and just as expected, the old man's face darkened.

"Why would my student explain anything to you? Gaas?"

"Of course it is me. Do you think anyone could just teach her?"
