"Miss Woods, Master is currently having a meeting but please feel free to stay in his office." Marko welcomed her the moment she told the receptionist her name. Ava was certain that the Lycan had smelled her scent and that's the reason why he was as fast as lightning in welcoming her.

Ava just nodded. It might be an exaggeration to say this but out of all the Lycans who she had met so far, Marko was the only one who was indifferent. No hatred. No happiness. No excitement. And she liked it.

The man sounded logical and reliable.

That must be the reason why Matthew decided to hire him.

"I have a quick question," Ava said the moment they were already inside Matthew's office.

"Please feel free to ask me anything."

"Amelia… did you know her?"

Marko looked at her for a few seconds before he nodded.

"Matthew told me she didn't handle anything confidential." That he only used her to get close to Ava.
