บท 40: THE FIRST PROPHECY

For a few seconds, the man was calm. But soon, the calmness turned into something else when the screams of people reached them.

Ava immediately knew that the man was scared.

"Let the others go." The man said.

She could feel his eyes on her.

"Sir, we need to leave now." The woman said.

"Can't you identify the attacker?"

"No.."

"Useless!" the man hissed. "Useless bunch of people! I want you to release the captives. Since they really want to fight, then let's give them a fight!"

"I understand. However, you need to leave. The madam wanted us to assure your safety…"

"Tsk." Ava heard something break. Almost immediately the smell of blood wafted through her nose.

She frowned.

Then she heard footsteps receding.

Did they really just… left?

She had no time to think about it.
