Heather pursed her lips then she looked at Katarina's eyes.

"I have been betrayed a lot in the past. And the impact was truly great on me."

Katarina couldn't understand why she was suddenly speaking of this.

"Can I really trust you?"

Katarina's lips opened a bit when Heather's next sentence was a question.

She looked back at Heather's eyes and she could see that Heather was looking at her eyes and hers actually have fear in them.

"You said you are here to protect him. Can I really trust you with that?"

There are only a few people who truly knew Cyrus and had the capability to protect him. Her family was big, but they can't move too much, they barely knew Cyrus and they barely knew the people around him.

Yes, they can look into it but that on itself was still lacking for her.

She needed someone who knew him as he grew up and the people surrounding him.

Katarina blinked but she felt her nose sting.
