Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

A whole hour passed as we continued to wait inside the restaurant. We had already finished the dishes we ordered, but there were still no signs of action from the kidnappers. There was only one entrance and exit for the school, so they would definitely pass at the gate we were watching. We probably came too early.

"This is boring," Agent Helios said as he stretched his body and leaned to the backrest of the couch he was sitting on.

"It can't be helped," I sighed, feeling a little bored myself. "Waiting is part of the process. But don't get lax and continue observing."

I was sitting in front of him at that time, at the best angle to look at the school's entrance gate.

"Why don't you observe for now while I entertain myself with something else for a whole hour, then I can take the next hour and watch? It's counter-productive if we will do the same thing at the same time."
