Looking around at the cave walls annoyedly, Professor Castaneda frowned.

"Since they didn't try climbing the hole, they must have looked for the stairways to the higher floors… After all, they must find those to make it out."

It was common knowledge that dungeons had a thicker mana concentration the lower you went.

Following this logic, it would make sense if the two students went toward the thinnest mana concentration, which would inevitably lead them back up.

"While they do that… I'll take a shortcut," Professor Castaneda smiled evily.

Running back towards the giant hole in the ceiling, Professor Castaneda quickly chanted a spell under his breath.

Once again, his skin turned into an onyx colour.

Jumping a sizeable height, the Professor quickly stabbed his right hand into the side of the hole and began hanging in the air.

Taking his left hand, he repeated the process, creating another indentation slightly above his right.
