The surge of magic washed over Neveah, briefly but it was still enough to leave the usual unsettling feeling that accompanied portal travel, especially for a distance so great.

From the Scabbard Tower to Keep Skies, it was the kind of distance that would take at least a few jump portals in succession to arrive at the destination,

However for a single portal to carry through such a great distance, it meant the magic effect of it was much heavier than the usual... the portal artifacts of the academy of magic were the most stable for such great distances.

Though they were rare, it was not difficult to acquire for Dragon Lords.

The portal had transported them to a small, sparse forest at the top of a hill, and though it was still a great distance away from their intended destination, Neveah could already pick up on the sounds of life and bustling activities, the familiar smells and just a glimpse of a familiar sight far out in the distance.
