Neveah was quiet for a moment, letting Lord Mycroft's words settle. She could not deny the truth in them.

One moment she had lowered her guard and Demevirld had taken full advantage to make himself known...to make certain Neveah would be left with no choice but to wield him or risk losing much more.

"Lord Mycroft, you do not speak to Veah in such a manner! You will watch your tone and your words!" Everon interrupted firmly before Lord Mycroft could say more.
