"Lieutenant Vairheac." The city guards on patrol greeted as Neveah rode up to the gates of their base.
One of the city guards quickly took the reins of Neveah's horse and Neveah nodded gratefully as she dismounted.
"It is already late, shall I keep your horse on standby?" The city guard asked to know if Neveah would be leaving not long after.
Neveah thought over it for a moment, glancing up at the sky. A good number of hours had gone by, it was late evening now.
About this time, she would be rounding up her duties for the day to return to the castle lest her father lamented her scarce presence.
But this time, Neveah had only come out to city guard precisely because it was this late and the streets would be cleared out by this time, since the lockdown had not been lifted just yet.
