"Let me go!" Neveah hissed urgently, her voice cracking at the end.

Xenon also seemed to regain his senses at Neveah's tone and he quickly took a step back, but still held onto Neveah's hand.

"V...Veah..." Xenon murmured quietly.

Neveah kept her gaze low whilst trying to steady her breathing, 

She did not dare to meet Xenon's tender gaze for fear that she would once again fall to his charms.

The memory of Alessio that had been triggered left the mate bond pulsing within Neveah's mind, reminding her that she could never truly live as she pleased.

Neveah knew Xenon meant no harm by his words, he was nothing like Alessio yet he had attained what Alessio could never have.

Neveah's heart was moved, and for that Neveah found, she feared Xenon... she was terrified of what she felt for this black scaled dragon and what it would cost her when her cruel fate brought along another twist.
