บท 39: Why Me? (Ch.39)

'Why?! Why me?!' Neveah screamed within her heart as she dashed through the woods with all the speed she could muster, her breathing coming out in short pants.

Her heart was heavy with terror and panic and no matter how strained her muscles felt, it did nothing to ease that tight feeling in her heart.

How could anyone understand Neveah's pain? How could anyone understand the horrifying reality it was to Neveah that her fated mate was infact Alessio Terran Lothaire?

A flash of lightening tore through the sky and a furious clap of thunder followed afterwards, the earth trembling furiously as though it would break apart at any moment.

And Neveah wished it would, she dearly wished the Earth would just open up and swallow her whole,

Such a fate would have been much more merciful than having to face her present reality.

Rain pelted down heavily, the branches and leaves of the towering trees providing little or no coverage from the pouring rain.
