There is a moment of shocked bewilderment were me and Ethan stay quiet until we finally speak up, saying the same words almost on top of each other: "What? Demon Lord?"

She gives a toothy smile back at our reaction, leaning back and provoking Ethan: "What? Too scared to fight me now boy?"

"Even more pumped to do so." Ethan says, and I can feel the adrenaline burning in his veins from here just by looking at his suddenly flashing crimson eyes.

Before this can go any further, which I knew it would, I slap the back of Ethan's head with my fluffy tail.

"Ouch, oi!"He says, rubbing the back of his head.

"Please continue." I say, ignoring Ethan's reaction, but having a satisfied twist of the tail midair behind me.
