"It's not long since I took over this position, and already those old men and women are itching for a chance to label me incompetent," Joanna declared, her voice firm as she adjusted her outfit.
"I bet they are silently praying for me to mess up so they can vent their frustrations on me and call for my replacement. But trust me, I won't give them that satisfaction."
As soon as Audrey finished assisting her, Joanna hastened to the dressing table.
"Rather than let them frustrate me, I will turn the tables and annoy them every single day by doing excellently well at the running this pack," Joanna murmured, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. Her expression gleamed with the delight of someone who had just thought of a devilish plan.
Audrey chuckled, her smile widening. "Hahaha… How I wish I could be around to see their faces when you prove them all wrong. I bet it would be fun."
