But he decides talking to me is worth his time. "Whatever you're planning, Morelli, I'm watching you," he tells me after he orders a gin and tonic.

"I don't know what you're talking about." And I really don't. He probably thinks I have an ulterior motive here.

Sebastian keeps his voice low so only I can hear. "You think you've got them all fooled—my sister especially. But once a Morelli, always a Morelli." The bartender sets his drink in front of him, and he takes a generous sip. He scoffs and licks his lips, then lowers his voice even more. "You're no saint. I've heard stories about you."

While he's yapping, I swivel around and lean against the counter. My gaze strays back to our table where Riri talks with Aurora and Angela. It's a room full of women, but she's the only one I see, hear, and smell. I tried really hard to contain my reaction toward her during dinner, what with her family being present. But it's getting harder and harder every second.
