"That's another piece of that monster." Clark stabbed down as Shy had stopped one of the shadow swarm centipede sections from moving right in front of him. This was more than he could count at this point. The worst part was that these sections were larger. 

Clearly, he was getting closer to the head of the monster he was hunting. But that wasn't necessarily a good thing right now. Especially since he could see that the monster sections had caused significant damage around the plateau. 

While he had been moving around the mechanical golems and the war golems, Clark had found the broken walls within this area. At least four had been torn avert, defenses and all. The only evidence that they had been there at all were the metal bases and metal sheets shredded around the ground.
