Priyanka did not leave the room. With her hands around her knees, she cried her heart out. Was this the end of the marriage? Karan was not ready to listen and if Atharva finds out that she told him the truth, he would tell the family about the contract. That would be the worst thing to happen.

Quickly, she got from the floor and wiped her tears with the back of her hand. Her eyes were swollen and red. They ached but she had no time to look in the mirror.

Priyanka raced down the stairs with the hope she might find Karan and explained things to him. But when she got there, he already left with the children. Even Salem and Samira were not in the house.

"Priyanka, come here" Grandmother called her as she turned to leave for her room. Priyanka felt like disappearing. The old woman was going to question her. How earth will she tell them what was going on when Karan wanted it to be a secret?
