"I suppose I haven't actually told you why you're here yet, have I?" Kaya asked. "We encountered a new planet, and returned to human space to gather reinforcements to prepare for a ground war for the said planet. Once the location for our main base has been secured on the surface, you and other platoons will be going down to secure the area around the base, giving us some breathing room to operate during this campaign. I get that you're all new to this, but I have to make sure everyone else is prepared" After she finished speaking, she left the room.

"Nice uniform," Connor said with a smirk. "Where did you get it from?"

"It was in the room I've been given. Why I've been given one, I don't know. She said something about me technically being a Lieutenant now, so maybe that's it."
