In about 10 minutes they reached the Jauhar Kunda which was still filled with branches as well as small dried-up sticks. It was prepared by the Rajput women inside the fort. Aarv just looked at Jauhar Kunda with sour emotion and ordered,
"Lit it up.."
This time, as Aarv's subordinate was going to set foot on the Jauhar Khunda, someone stopped him from doing so. When the subordinate looked over, He saw Radha who stopped him from advancing further. Before he could question her, Radha took the torch in his hands and started walking toward the Jauhar Kunda.
It was as if she was saying, 'Men have no right to touch the sacred place.' The subordinate looked at Aarv but Aarv just shocked his head and let Radha do the work.
Soon, the wood inside the Jauhar Khunda started burning vigorously. The flames inside the Kunda reached as high as 4 meters. That's when Aarv grabbed Alauddin Khilji and started to bring him towards the Jauhar Kunda. Similarly, the other three instructors followed and brought the rest of the prisoners.
"What are you doing…?"
It was Hafeez Khan who spoke as he was forcefully brought near the Jauhar Kunda. But, all he got was silence. Even Alauddin Khilji looked at him like he was looking at an idiot.
'What an Idiot… we are prisoners of war… we don't have a choice to say anything…!'
Although Alauddin wanted to explain to him but choose kept quiet. He did not want to infuriate the enemy and prolong his suffering.
Aarv placed Alauddin Khilji at the border of Jauhar Kunda. And patted his shoulders.
"Do you remember when you attacked Ranthambore…?"
Alauddin Khilji tried to remember the kingdom of Ranthambore which he destroyed 2 years earlier. He remembered that during the siege of Ranthambore, more than 20,000 women had performed Jauhar right in front of his eyes. His gaze turned sharp as he looked at Aarv but Aarv did not give him any chance at all as he continued,
"More than 20,000 of my mothers and sisters performed Jauhar in the battle… Today, you will feel the same pain as they felt…."
"The same pain they endured when their bodies burned slowly and they just stood…. They did not even flinch when their blood boiled and evaporated from their fleshy wounds… The same pain when they watched their loved ones also jumping in the fire beside them…."
Aarv's eyes turned scarlet as he said those words with difficulty. He felt stuffed up in his chest as he felt a variety of emotions bubbling inside him. Anger, Anguish, Sadness, remorse… But, he suppressed them as he turned around leaving Alauddin Khilji on the boundary of the Jauhar Kunda.
Before Alauddin Khilji could react, the other prisoners were brought up and left on the boundary of Jauhar Kunda. Just as they were wondering what was going on, from the main door came Rajput women. A lot of women.
They were all dressed in red clothes as they quickly surrounded the Jauhar Kunda at the same time all the Rajput men retreated backwards giving way for all the women.
The prisoners noticed that the Rajput women were holding something in their hands. When they looked closely, they found that they were holding rocks in their hands.
"Wait…"
Before Hafeez khan could say anything, all the women threw rocks at the prisoners.
"Bam…. Bam…."
The constant volley of rocks made the prisoners retreat backwards. Suddenly, a rock made its way toward Aacharya Raghav Chetan and directly hit his head.
"Bang…"
Raghav Chetan directly fell backwards inside the Jauhar Kunda…
"Ahhhh~~" His loud cry sounded throughout the fort.
Seeing the scene, Malik Kafur did not hesitate any further as he voluntarily jumped in the Jauhar Kunda followed by Alauddin Khilji.
Seeing them voluntarily jumping inside the Jauhar Kunda, Hafeez Khan felt fearful. He knew that he had no other choice other than to jump inside the Jauhar Kunda. His eyes turned vicious as he took a last look at the person who was solely responsible for this and said,
"I will remember this…."
And he too jumped inside the Jauhar Kunda. That afternoon, The whole fort of Chittod was basked in the cries of Alauddin Khilji and his companions. But, for the warriors of Chittod these dreams were like melodies of their victory over the Khilji soldiers.
All the lord players looked at the scene with pride in their eyes. They knew that they had taken revenge for the people of Rajputana.
They felt really satisfied as their bodies slowly turned into lights as they disappeared from the historical quest.
