Starting from the moment she made them both sit down separately, five minutes have passed since then. And yet, neither of them have spoken even a single sentence.

"You're gonna say anything or what? We don't have the whole day, you know?"

"Classes will start after an hour so we don't have long either.

If there's nothing you want to say right now, we can just do the introductions, which I don't see as necessary here, and we can meet again in the evening."

We waited since we thought as adults, the two of them would know how to behave and do things, but it seems like we were wrong.
