Fein's eyes widened in shock at Niki's confession. He had thought that Niki had invited him to Laughing Phantom because he was genuinely interested in his abilities as an SS-rank degu user. But now it seemed that there was a different motive behind it all.

"What do you mean, Niki? What was your true purpose?" Fein asked, his voice laced with suspicion.

Niki simply grinned, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh, don't worry about that, Fein. You'll find out soon enough. Let's just say that I have big plans for the future, and I needed someone like you to help me achieve them."
