บท 23: Chapter 23: Missing

Mary sat in the car next to Takeshi as he drove. The two wanted to stop by the Kitty Kat Club to see Rocco, Mama DiSpirito, and the girls before leaving. She knew if she didn’t, she’d catch more hell than Vincento, the Flannigans, and anyone else was able to ever hit her with. The car pulled up to the club and the two strolled inside and up to the bar, greeted by the extremely surprised faces of Eva and Mama DiSpirito.

“What are you doing here, bambina?” Mama asked.

Mary arched her brow in confusion. “Keshi and I were coming to say goodbye before we got on the plane. Why?”

“We thought you were meeting Rocco at Warehouse 12.” Eva chimed in. “Rocco said you wanted to talk to him about a shipment going wonky or something before you two left.”

“When did I tell him this?” Mary’s eyes narrowed.

“He said he got a message from you almost an hour ago.” Mama answered grimly.

Mary turned to Takeshi, who looked slightly worried.
