บท 33: Universe
The mist engulfed the whole building. Naturally I have nothing to cover myself with… I slowly lost consciousness.
Should I be glad? If I was some side character, I would've turned into a monster the second that mist touched me, but I'm 'slowly' turning… perhaps a symbol that I've become one of the main characters-
"Wake up!" Someone slapped me so hard I'm sure some of my teeth cracked.
Is this the cliche of 'what a dog sh*t dream'? well I'm sorry for cursing all the clichés! Please tell me that mistake I made was just a dream…
"I'm going to get some food over there," the kid said while pointing at the lines of people.
This line… where have I heard it…? "F***"
"???" The kid stared at my face… repeating the exact same words he said in my dream, just in different order "Are you okay? like… did you go insane?"
"I think I am. Yup, I'm insane… at least about to…"

(Kid's POV)
The world fell apart, my consciousness entering another timeline… or should I say I heard the end of that timeline?
Mutated ones have either excellent hearing, smelling, seeing, etc…
Before I touched that rain, I was blind.
The little world I could see only got dimmer and dimmer, the doctor said I'd be fully blind eventually.
A defective child that passed the Amniocentesis.
My parents would always tell me, "If you were a girl or had any birth defects, we would've gotten rid of you."
Well that is, before my blindness came in.
My dad went to get the milk. He really didn't go back on his words, did he?
At least my mother stayed with me…
Then the rain began to fall, bringing despair everywhere it went.
But the rain brought something other than despair to my household… my sight returned.
My mother didn't care about my yellow eyes or how I occasionally had the urge to infect everyone else… she treated the rain as a blessing from god, giving blessings to the right people and wiping out the rest.
My mother believed that my father will return now since I could see… well… I left her instead.
The first timeline I went through, some crazy manic with blue hair turned out to be the start of all this apocalypse, eventually killing everyone.
Second timeline, the apocalypse never happened. My mother eventually went insane and was sent to a mental hospital.
Third timeline…
Fourth…
Fifth…
After many many timelines, I met him.
Someone I couldn't read the minds of.
And someone new that appeared after the… I lost count after the twentieth time line.
But I have made a mistake… who knew he'd be the one to end the timeline that was supposed to meet its "apocalypse ended" ending?!
