บท 20: Hostile Men

The man pointed at Aisha. “Oh my, this girl is a hum-”, he began to say but was ultimately cut off mid sentence.

“What is with all the commotion here?!” roared a familiar voice. “And why is my dining hall on fire?”

Aisha’s head spun faster than she could spell the word ‘demon’. Damien and Aisha’s eyes locked and she couldn’t contain the joy from spreading across her face. At last, the owner of the house had arrived!

“Lord Damien!” she chirped, relieved that Damien was now by her side. “These two just made a ruckus even before breakfast!

Aisha immediately tried to find a refuge with Damien’s arrival. As stated in the contract, Damien was bound to protect her in her one month of trial service. But then again, what exactly took him that long?
