บท 112: The Law

Maria was shown inside by the generous man, and almost immediately, he retreated and left. She took a deep breath and stepped into the room. 

In a second and just short of a heartbeat, she froze. An all too familiar back with an even more familiar finger was tracing something on the blue walls. Beside that familiar back was another man she presumed was Alcatara. 

The thing on her mind, though, was basically, "What the fuck is Vincenzo here for"

As if intruding on her thoughts, he turned around, and their eyes met and held briefly before he turned to tap Alcatara.

"Miss Maria, I presume," the older skinny man with thick glasses that looked bigger than his whole face turned around and said. Maria was taken aback a bit. 

The name Alcatara had somehow made her think of some Italian mafia with guns and drugs. Before, she was the opposite of the kind of reputation he had; it was quite the irony.
