บท 105: Monsters in disguise

An emptiness flickered in Aylin's eyes.

The moment Kai jumped down, Aylin ran to the window. Leaning forward, she asked suddenly, after a moment of hesitation, "Kai?"

"Yes?"

"Do you really care for me?"

"Maybe?"

Aylin blurted out suddenly, "Why?"

Kai turned his head as he looked back in Aylin's direction. But, he didn't reply instantly as if he didn't know the answer himself. Then after a little pause, he murmured in a low voice, "I- I don't know…"

Aylin sighed in disappointment as she murmured under her breath, 'Humph! Silly me. What was I even expecting from him?'

Clearing her throat, Aylin asked again, "Then, why do you always come to help me?"

However, Kai was still staring at her delicate face as he added in his husky voice with his usual charming smile, "Help you! Umh! I guess I just don't want to miss a single chance to tease you. Your blushing face looks damn so cute… I enjoy your company, Lin."
