"N, you using that tiny Noisy Cricket too?" J looked at the tiny gun in his hand. "It feels like a toy."
"I'm using a Series 2 De-Atomizer. Don't underestimate Cricket, it packs a punch. I don't think the MIB would give their agents toys." Noah patted J on the shoulder.
Looking at the little Cricket in J's hand, it was only the size of his palm. If he hadn't known about it, he might have found it difficult to accept it too.
In the garage, J opened the door to get in the car, but K gave him a look, "Back seat."
J resentfully got into the back seat of the car. 'Tsk, the passenger seat is more dangerous anyway, my car is much better than your old clunker.'
"We're on a mission to capture illegal aliens. Although they had a 'Bug' reason in trying to get on illegal flights, once they break the law, their licenses are suspended. They are now illegals. Rules are rules."
"Our first priority is to locate the flight suppliers. Don't get fooled. Some aliens may look cute, but they can kill you."
"We had an Agent AA, he loved cute, precious little tiny animals. He was mauled by a bunny... actually it was a Lagomorph."
"I'm not like him. I can't judge by appearance! When I worked for the NYPD, I've caught people who looked innocent, who were in actuality vicious criminals. I know people, and I know criminals. It's their way of thinking ..." J pointed to his brain. He couldn't wait to show them what he could do.
After a while, the car stopped at a small locksmith stand. On the counter, there is a cute pug lying on its back.
Seeing their car, the pug jumped off the counter and tried to run into the alley, but K stopped it.
"Hey, K, aren't we here to work. Would you quit teasing the dog?" J called out.
"J, he isn't a dog. He's an alien. His name is Frank." Noah tilted his head, side-glancing at J. 'Didn't you say you had good eyes? Couldn't you tell he's an alien?'
"Oh hi, K, what can I do for you? I heard that you guys killed the Bug, and gave the galaxy back to the Arquillians. Congratulations." Frank stuck out his tongue, trying to flatter them, and kill them with his cuteness.
"You're as well-informed as ever, so you know why we're here, don't you?" K's hand went into his suit.
"Wait a minute, wait a minute." Frank shouted, "I didn't do anything. You can't do this!"
Some people on the street looked over curiously, wondering why a man seemed to be talking to a dog.
Noah explained to pedestrians, "Their rehearsing ventriloquism, auditioning in a couple of days. You know how frustrating it gets... Go on, nothing to see here."
"Frank, I suggest you get into the car with us. Let's find a place to talk." Noah opened the car door.
Frank sneaked a glance at the cold-faced K and reluctantly jumped into the back seat. Frank knew that K wasn't someone to mess with, he had captured more aliens than he could count on his four paws.
J was sitting in the back seat too, looking at the little puppy sitting next to him. 'This...? is an alien? Don't they always look weird, with tentacles or some shit like that?'
K drove out of the downtown area and pulled over to the side of the road.
"Frank, how many people have left the planet from your side?" K stared at Frank.
"Just three... Okay, five-No! Ten. But that's really it. The rest didn't have time to leave. You killed the Bug, and those guys backed out."
Frank looked angry. He wouldn't do business with those guys in the future, those guys were on his black list.
"You have a spaceship? A spaceship? How do you fly it?" J looked at Frank with an odd expression. 'Could those tiny paws even reach the controls?'
"What's with that look? Why can't I fly a spaceship?" Frank was even more annoyed. 'You weren't even born when I first flew a ship!'
"K, the ship isn't mine. I'm still here, aren't I? It was Eric. Eric flew for those people, I'm just a middle-man."
He gave Eric all the deposit. But in the end, those people didn't leave. Eric didn't refund his deposit, and he didn't get his share of the ship's money for those who left, so he worked for absolutely nothing and offended the MIB.
"Give me the list of those who left illegally, and take me to Eric."
"K, I can tell you Eric's address, but I absolutely can't go with you. He'll kill me. It's not my fault. The Arquillians were aiming at Earth. We were all trying to stay alive, right?"
"You don't have enough ships to send people away, I was helping you. At least those people didn't cause riots in the MIB's headquarters, right?"
Noah reached out and grabbed Frank's head, "You mean, we have to thank you? Or give you a medal?"
"No, no, no. I don't need anything, just let me go." Frank said weakly.
"I remember you took more than ten aliens from headquarters. Hand over the remaining list and don't play tricks. You also have to take us to Eric. Or it's the LunarMax for you."
"K, I'm not familiar with some laws. How many years for smuggling people in and out of the planet?" Noah deliberately asked.
"30," K said indifferently, while still staring at Frank.
"Ten people... Should be about three hundred years. Well, there are still some attempted sneak-outs, so I reckon you'll be out for about five hundred years at the most, provided you also hand over the money you get from the immigrants."
"Are you kidding me? I don't have 500 years! I'll die of old age in prison!" Frank's voice was sharp.
"I'm willing to tell you all their names, and I'm willing to hand over the money I earned and pay a fine. According to MIB rules, I can be exempted from imprisonment."
"You seem to know the rules very well. Then you should also understand K. He said for you to lead us to Eric, and that's what you have to do, or tomorrow you'll be at the prison window on the Moon, looking at the faraway Earth."
"J, you are an agent. Do you know some methods of extorting confessions?" Noah asked J.
J was a little embarrassed. He did know some and had used some secretly. But he had never used any on a dog. 'Won't one punch kill this tiny dog?'
After thinking about it, he grabbed Frank's body with both hands and shook it back and forth, "Are you agreeing or not? Say it... say it!"
Frank was dizzy, "Hey! Stop! Stop! Stop! You can't do this to me! "
"I don't see anyone around to report it."
Seeing that K was pretending he didn't see anything, J happily shook Frank back and forth.
"Okay! Okay, stop! I'll take you to Eric, but you have to promise to protect me. No one can know that I was the one who told you about Eric."
