บท 69: Death Approaches (2/2)

Wren tore down the rest of the illusion, and before he could blink, Rowan was in his real body once more. Flat on his back with something hard under his head, of course. This time there was the addition of a solid weight on top of him, crushing the air out of his lungs.

He realized it was a motionless Lysander.

Wren appeared above them and unceremoniously flipped Lysander onto the ground next to Rowan. The crinkle in his brow said he wasn't pleased with the adept being on top of him, even if it wasn't Lysander's fault. When Wren helped him sit up, Rowan saw that he'd been using Lysander's sword as a pillow. He supposed it was a step up from an ordinary rock.

"What's wrong with him?" Rowan knelt over the adept.
