Then as they all sat there breathing loudly, no one said a word. They heard footsteps. The clanking boots sounded like they were coming from everywhere and nowhere all at once. Standing up they looked around, up and down the hallway, and yet they could not see anyone at all. It was creepy, their heartbeats could even be heard as they looked up and down over and over, not wanting to let anyone have the chance to get the drop on them, and yet no one appeared. This only scared them more and more and just as it had appeared the noise soon faded away. Their heartbeat still echoed out around them. Looking at each other, they all quietly shivered.
"Come on, let's find Nora." Amber's words soon caused them to spring into action. Their footsteps could be heard on the floor as they all walked on through the stone-paved hallway.
No one said anything, and Zia just ended up looking around in boredom. As they walked, they were passing by what looked like wooden cell doors. The doors only had a small barred window to look inside, and yet even this window was well shut for now. She could only imagine in horror what it would be like inside. Though occasional Amber would call out Nora's name, they would get nowhere.
The group ended up walking around and around for what felt like hours. Not running into anyone, just walking down hallway after hallway that all looked the same. Maybe they were all lost here? It would not be surprising at all considering that everything looked the exact same.
Then they heard a few voices, followed by footsteps. Then as they got louder, the group realized that there were some guards coming. Taking a breath they all got ready, this time they had the advantage of surprise. Something which they should have had the entire time…
Then, as the footsteps and voices reached their loudest. A couple of guards walked around the corner and just looked at them all in stunned silence. Their surprise was all that the group needed though, and the guards were taken down quickly and quietly.
Amber though made sure that one of the guards was kept alive and conscious. Looking at him rather intimidating, they all said one thing at once…minus Zia of course. "Where is Nora?" The guard was scared out of his mind, "She is above us on the next floor, in her old room…please I am new here! Please do not hurt me!"
Bang! Aidan quickly smashed his head, leading to the man being knocked out. His head dropped onto his lap.
"Come on, we need to move quickly before they try to move her somewhere else. It will not take them long at all to notice that there are some guards who are missing." Just before they all ran off, Zia raised her hands to get all of their attention.
Taking out her book, she wrote something down slowly. It read, "What do we do after we get Nora?" As they all read that, they all went into a small period of thought, though this was soon stopped by Aidan," It does not matter. Let's get Nora first before we all go and think about that.
Zia looked annoyed and frustrated by his words, but still, she went along with them all the same. They quickly moved up the stairs and onto the next floor. But they soon found the next problem, it was practically the same as the floor that they had just gone up. There was nothing but a seemingly endless array of doors stretching on and on.
Then Noah looked down one way at one door in particular. Running off, he left the group confused fully. But they all quickly followed him. By the time they had all caught up. He was just standing in front of one door. There was no one else around, looking at him. Amber went to speak, but he just ignored her attempt and opened the door.
Inside the room was Nora. She was there stunned and looked straight at Noah. Her eyes were glistening with tears threatening to fall out of them, then with a sob and one word, "Noah." She raced up to him and jumped into his arms. This only stunned everyone else even more.
Just how had he known that she was here, what was with that almost sixth sense he had used to be able to find her room so quickly? After a few minutes had passed, Nora, who had calmed down, looked up at them all. "Thank you… All of you."
Then, looking at Zia, she found that Zia had written something for her to read.
"So what do you want to do, just escape? Should we go and fight your father?" Her written words made Nora get angry and frustrated and sad and worried all at once. The others all just looked at this and almost went into shock as well.
Was this really Zia? When had she gotten so ruthless?
That's when they thought…
Zia does change like a different person …when there is a chance of blood spill
Though Noah sees a few marks on Nora. Coldly replied, "Yes, we will go and see him. He hurt her. He will pay."
Nora looked up in shock again. Noah was like this too? It just seemed like, to her, her entire world was being turned upside down again.
The group, after the decision made by Zia and Noah, quickly walked off under Nora's lead. This time though, they were making far more progress than normal. It just helped to have someone who knew where they were and where they were going to lead.
Then with some kind of divine protection they had arrived outside a grander-looking door, it seemed like Nora had managed to avoid all the guards as well.
That's when everyone thought that she lived in this hell for years
Looking back at her friends and then at Noah, she mumbled, "Are you all sure?"
