VERONICA'S MOTHER

Days passed and I was still safe, still alive, still breathing until they left, her sisters.

A message pop up on all of their phones including Nancy.

'Next task - Mr Dupuis. No 12, Thrives street, Heritage estate. The task should be done before the end of tommorow. I'll be waiting for the updates in that house.'

They all get up carrying their purses and phones. They advance for the front door one after another. Nancy was in the kitchen and she rushes to where I lay then open up the door. I was still unconscious. She comes at me breathing on me before she whispers, 'By the time you wake up I'll not be here. The top says we accomplish something.' She closes the door.
