บท 229: Chapter 229: They’re Strong

Eleonore’s POV

When Ruan and the twins left the room, I went to sit on one of the couches. I could hear Cole’s footsteps behind me as he walked close, sitting on the seat next to me as I leaned my back against the armrest. There was a bright smile on my face that made me realize just how glad I was that the three of us were together again. I stretched my arms in front of me, grabbing at Cole again as I gave him one more hug.

I pulled back and away from him, my eyes scanning the stretch of his face. There were scars running over every inch of it, one long, jagged one ran from the top of his forehead all the way down over his eye, over his cheek and down to his throat. The eye beneath the scar was white, blinded, and still staring at me in some ghostly way.
