Su Xiaonai sensitive enough to note the threatening tone in Ji Anren's words. She felt conflicted.

She turned away and stepped back, putting some distance between them.

She would have to rely on herself. She couldn't let herself be passive.

Soon, they reached the 21st floor, but Ji Anren didn't leave the elevator right away. Instead, he turned around and glanced at Su Xiaonai.

"Do you want to come in?"

Su Xiaonai was speechless.

She would not enter his apartment where he could flirt with her however he wanted. Then it would be too late to leave.

Su Xiaonai smiled and waved him off.

"No need. Mubei and Mubai would be looking for me."

Ji Anren could only give up and shake his head in disappointment.

"Fine."

Su Xiaonai nodded and quickly pressed the button for the 20th floor. She was afraid that she would have to spend another second with Ji Anren.
