บท 73: Broken friendships (2)

High school was tough.

College was tougher.

But the worst was certainly moving on and getting a job.

However, with Asahi by his side, Akira was able to get through all of it. He had found a stable job and had even started working with one of the biggest apparel manufacturers. It was as if all his dreams had come true. He was satisfied with his life, perhaps even the happiest he'd ever be. He was young and successful. He had achieved what others would dream of for most of their lives before harshly waking up to reality.

He was lucky, there was no doubt about it. He was so fortunate that if he were to play Russian roulette right now, he was sure he would win. He was thankful for all these blessings but still, there was a fear in his heart. A fear that he would one day lose everything. Fear that one day, the world will no longer favor him and that he will be left alone in this world with nothing more than betrayals and scars that will never be healed.
