บท 72: Broken friendships (1)

"Asahi..." Akira frowned as he muttered, clearly having something troublesome in his mind that he wanted to convey. However, although he had mustered up the courage to utter the boy's name, feeling conflicted, he could not really bring up the issue.

Asahi seemed to have ignored him. He was already walking a few steps ahead of him and seemed to be lost in his own world. It was quite possible that he hadn't heard Akira's thoughtless mutter at all. 

Akira couldn't help but gulp as he looked down at the ground, his feet coming to a complete stop, while Asahi thoughtlessly continued moving forward.

'Was it always going to be like this?' Akira couldn't help but wonder as he looked at the grey concrete pavement.
