บท 381: Different Proposition

"Jack, do you perhaps know about your mother's whereabouts? We need to complete the agreement sooner, or my shadow organization is going to suffer." At this moment, the old man spoke again, bringing Jack out of his thoughts.

"My mother is gone." Jack replied calmly.

"Gone? Where? To the stronghold?" The old man asked confusedly.

"What I'm trying to say is that my mother passed away over 5 years ago." Jack replied, only this time, his voice actually contained some coldness within it.

The old man remain silent as he looked at Jack. He was actually trying to see if Jack was playing a joke on him or not. But when he looked at Jack's serious expression, and noticed that the girls that were beside or behind Jack both had the same expressions on their faces, he couldn't believe it.
