บท 28: The Waves Mission II.
Team 7 was right now watching Naruto hugging and comforting a perfectly normal-looking white bunny. However, Kakashi thought otherwise,
'That's a snow rabbit, but that doesn't explain the color of its fur... the coat turns white only during winter when there is little to no sunlight.'
'Which means... that snow rabbit was raised indoors without a ray of sunlight to be used as a substitute.'
Kakashi then suddenly felt a movement from the nearby trees.
"Everyone get down!!" Kakashi warned as everybody ducked.
A huge-ass sword if you can call it one, passed over their heads and cleaved right into a tree. After which a person appeared, standing on the blade stuck to the tree.
Everyone looked up to see who this new foe of theirs was.
"If I am not mistaken, he's..." Kakashi seemed to recognize this new enemy and Sasuke did not miss this reaction of his.
'Kakashi seems to be vigilant, plus this guy hid his presence pretty good. I couldn't even sense him until he attacked. If Satoru nii-san was here, he would have sensed this guy from miles away. Hmm, I will have to ask Itachi nii-san to turn up my training in perception after this mission is over.' Sasuke thought to himself.
"Well, Well. If it isn't the Rogue Ninja, Momochi Zabuza-kun!"
Naruto was about to jump right in who was followed by Sasuke but Kakashi stopped them.
"Get back, you guys. You will be in the way for this one." Kakashi said, slowly pushing them back.
"Why?!" Naruto questioned. He was pretty excited about this new enemy.
"He is on another level from the guys the other day. Him being our opponent means..." Kakashi drifted the part of the headband which covered his left eye.
Everyone was curious about what Kakashi was doing right now.
"that things might get tricky as I am now."
"I assume you're Kakashi the Copy Ninja. Sorry but, I'll have you hand over the old man."
Naruto and Sasuke, due to their training and pranking, knew things were about to get serious looking at Kakashi's expression whereas Sakura and Tazuna were confused about what was happening between the two parties.
"Get in Manji battle formation, you guys. Protect Tazuna-san. Don't involve yourselves in the fight. That's the teamwork in this situation."
Kakashi removed the part covering, which revealed a scarlet eye with three magatamas.
"Oh, I never expected to see the rumored Sharingan this soon. This is an honor. When I was in the Anbu Black Ops of the Hidden Mist, search information about you was in the bingo book I would carry around with me,"
A thick fog started spreading over the surrounding area as Zabuza talked.
"There was also something interesting in the book. About a man who has copied over a thousand Jutsus. Kakashi the Copy Ninja."
'What? Is Kakashi-sensei that incredible of a ninja? And what is Sharingan?' Sakura was confused even more now.
"Wow!" Naruto didn't understand anything other than Kakashi's Sharingan but thought whatever the heck was going on was awesome or something.
'What does this mean? The Sharingan is a special trait that appears in only a few select even among the Uchiha Clan.' Sasuke thought to himself, 'Could it be, that this guy...'
"Let's end the talking here. I must kill that old man immediately." Zabuza said preparing himself to fight.
Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura immediately took their respective positions in front of Tazuna. Zabuza jumped off with his blade and onto the pond nearby and made some hand signs.
"Ninja Art: Hidden Mist Jutsu."
The incoming fog became even thicker after Zabuza uttered those words.
"He will probably come to erase me first..." Kakashi said, stepping forward, "Don't lower your guard, you guys... Well, if we die, we will only die."
"How can you be so carefree?!" Sakura complained.
"The mist is getting thicker and thicker, ya know!" Naruto said as if he was expecting an answer.
"The Land of Waves of surrounded by an ocean. So mist rises very easily." Tazuna answered him.
Kakashi released a wave of Chakra to clear out the mist with some killing intent mixed in it.
"It's over now." With that, Zabuza appeared in the middle of the formation, protecting Tazuna. Kakashi immediately turned back as Naruto grabbed Tazuna and Sasuke grabbed Sakura and both of them made a run for it.
Zabuza, not having any intention of letting them go, swung his blade but was intercepted by Kakashi, allowing them to escape and make some distance.
Kakashi had stabbed Zabuza with a Kunai, but there was water instead of blood coming out of the wound.
"Sensei, BEHIND YOU!!." Naruto screamed.
Zabuza, who had been stabbed in the chest with a Kunai dispersed in water as another Zabuza appeared behind Kakashi and swung his sword, cutting Kakashi in two halves but Kakashi too dispersed into water particles.
Kakashi then appeared behind Zabuza while pointing a Kunai to his neck.
"Don't move. It's over." Kakashi warned Zabuza as he figured out what had happened. He figured out how Kakashi had copied his Jutsu and then implemented it in just a glance and a moment.
For a moment it seemed to everyone that Kakashi had won the battle without breaking a sweat, but then, giggling noises came from Zabuza.
"Did you say it's over? You don't understand, do you? You won't be able to beat me just by copying me like a monkey... Not a chance."
Another Zabuza appeared behind Kakashi as the first one dispelled into water particles.
Zabuza swung his blade in an attempt to kill Kakashi, but Kakashi just ducked, making the blade hit the ground.
After which, Zabuza kicked Kakashi, sending him flying into the pond. He then drew his blade from the ground and chased after Kakashi, only to find some Makibishi spikes in his way, which he ignored and jumped over them and dived into the pond.
"Sensei!!" Naruto cried out along with Sakura who had a look of disbelief on her face. Kakashi emerged to the surface just a moment later.
"W-What's with this water...? It's awfully heavy." Kakashi said.
"Hump... Fool!" Zabuza appeared behind Kakashi and started making some hand signs.
<Water Style: Water Prison Jutsu.>
Water encircled Kakashi, trapping him in it as he regretted his decision to escape into the water using Zabuza's kick.
With that, Kakashi was fully trapped in the Jutsu. It was up to Naruto and Sasuke to somehow get out of this predicament.
But their hope started to fade as a water clone of Zabuza formed in front of them.

So why the f didn't I upload for 3 fricking days? Well, I have three reasonable reasons.
First, it was my grandpa's 84th birthday. Congrats to him for living so long while still smoking like a madman.
Second, I was thinking... yes, that's it, I was thinking, that's all.
So I decided to not change the Kakashi vs Zabuza fight but I will change the Naruto and Sasuke freeing Kakashi part a bit and I needed to plan out the future Naruto and Sasuke vs Haku fight as well, so yeah. Hope you like it.
