Although Luke had a bunch of wild questions in his mind, he could always respond to Aren's orders and questions immediately.

This was an instinct that came from long-term training, and it worked even at an intense moment like this.

"The person who called is Miss Diana's good friend, Miss Susan. She said…" Luke couldn't help but look at Aren, pausing for a moment.

Compared to the mysterious Miss Diana, Luke had a better impression of Miss Jocelyn.

Luke prayed that Miss Susan was wrong, that Miss Jocelyn hadn't done anything to let Aren down. Otherwise, his life would probably be even more difficult from now on.

The pause made Aren drop his pen in annoyance. There was an impatient look on his face, which frightened Luke so much that his hair stood on end.

Luke didn't dare to hesitate. He quickly told him what Susan had just said. Then, he stood in the corner and tried to reduce his presence while waiting for Aren to respond to that.
