The wolf easily kept up with me, even surpassing me at times. We even started to play, and all my problems melted away. It was easy to pretend I wasn't human and that this was all I needed to worry about. Kali loved it. Jumping and circling the other wolf like an excitable pup, 

I quickly noticed that the wolf never made a move to mount or dominate me. Did he know I was mated? Or did he sense that I was pregnant? Either way, it made me feel safe. He didn't make me feel like he wanted me to breed. This was just for fun, and there was a sense of innocence. 

I don't know how long we ran, but I was hungry and thirsty when we finally stopped.
