"I guess we made it" - Cloud said as he looked up at the huge mountain that loomed imposingly in front of the group. He had to admit that despite its enormous size, the mountain still felt huge.
"I know what you're thinking, so let me tell you that's right" - Shio said as she shrugged her shoulders - "It [End Hill] is huge, to the point where you can't even see the top."
"Let me guess, the higher, the stronger the prey" - Cloud replied as he gave the white-haired girl a bored look.
"Not exactly" - replied Shio while shaking her head - "There are two ways to survive here, one, by being stupidly strong, and two, by having an insane ability to survive in the most inhospitable places of the [Hill of the End]."
"Makes sense" - nodded Cloud as his gaze once again rested on the huge mountain - "I guess it's time we welcomed our hosts"
"They don't learn" - Shio snorted as she watched a group of [Hannibal] approach their location - "I guess the blood of the other two made them come"
"Better for me, because I desire their cores" - Cloud replied viciously as a grim smile appeared on his face.
[Do you need my help, my lord?] - asked [Yan Zhi] as she looked at master.
[No, for now just rest and continue digesting the core of that [Vajra]]. - Cloud replied calmly as his eyes glittered with mischief.

"I'm sure all of you here present are aware of the new species of [Aragami] that appeared a few days ago" - said the current leader of [Fenrir: Central] as he looked at each of the assembled teams in front of him - "a beast that seems to have no limit to its evolution."
Those present looked at each other as a neutral expression appeared on their faces.
"We have given it the name [Calamity], a beast approximately 10 metres tall" - continued the leader of [Fenrir] - "Although according to our scientists, this could only be its infant size".
"Are you telling us that we're only dealing with an [Aragami] that hasn't matured yet?" - asked one of the squad leaders present - "This must be a joke."
"We're not joking" - replied the leader of [Fenrir] - "[Calamity] is in a developmental stage, a very accelerated one."
The expression of those present changed to one filled with terror. They had received the information about how [Calamity] had managed to kill and devour 3 [Deusphages] in a matter of days.
"As you can see, this is an unprecedented crisis" - said the leader of [Fenrir] as he said to each of the squad leaders - "A crisis that could bring about the end of the world as we know it".
The leader of [Fenrir] was exaggerating things a bit, although his words about the possible threat of [Calamity] were completely true. The scientists of the [Fenrir: Central] had discovered the massive increase in biosignals produced by [Calamity], proving that it was not only much stronger than a few weeks ago.
"Back to the main topic" - said the leader of [Fenrir] - "According to our report, [Calamity] should be on [End Hill] by now, possibly looking for a faster way to continue evolving."
The expressions of those present were constantly changing, though the more astute ones understood what they had to do.
"As many of you realised, or were informed, the objective of this mission is simple" - said the Leader of [Fenrir] - "To annihilate [Calamity] and all the [Aragami] on [Hill of the End]."
"Question" - said a woman as she raised a hand - "Why don't you just use nuclear bombs so you can wipe out all those beasts?"
"Because we don't know what kind of chemical reaction could result thanks to the radiation" - replied the Leader of [Fenrir] seriously - "I can only tell you that nuclear radiation is more beneficial than lethal to the [Aragami] because it increases the absorption rate of the [Oracle Cells]."
"And that translates to a drastic increase in the speed of evolution, right?" - Said one of the squad leaders as his gaze sharpened.
"Indeed" - nodded the leader of [Fenrir].
Lindow was silent as he listened to the [Fenrir] leader's words. He had to admit that if he didn't know the general context of the situation, he too would be terrified by the older man's words.
"Question, sir!" - Lindow said as he raised a hand.
"Speak, soldier" - replied the leader of [Fenrir].
"Aggression level of the beast?" - Lindow asked as his eyes turned cold.
". . ." - the leader of [Fenrir] froze for a few seconds before shooting a surprised look at the black-haired young man - "The aggressiveness level of [Calamity], currently is null."
"Null? What do you mean by that?" - asked another of the squad leaders as he frowned.
"That so far, [Calamity] has not made any pre-emptive strikes on facilities with human lives" - replied the leader of [Fenrir] while frowning because this was something never seen before.
Everyone knew that regardless of the race of the [Aragami], they hunted all humans in their area of vision, but [Calamity] was very different.
"Calamity] has ignored human settlements during its journey to [Hill of the End]," continued the leader of [Fenrir]. - continued the leader of [Fenrir] - "In fact, the only casualties recorded were those of the first squadron."
"The same squad that launched a pre-emptive strike against [Calamity]?" - asked one man as he raised an eyebrow - "Does that mean [Calamity] has never made the first attack on us?"
"Although we don't know when this might change" - said the leader of [Fenrir] with a serious expression on his face.
"Do we know the reason why [Calamity] hasn't attacked any humans so far?" - Sophia asked while feigning surprise.
"Not at the moment, but I don't think it comes to the point" - replied the leader of [Fenrir] with a frown - "At the moment it doesn't matter why [Calamity] doesn't attack us, but to prevent him from doing so."
The squad leaders nodded when they heard this because it made sense.
Sophia's expression changed to one filled with regret when she noticed how the conversation returned to the topic of how to kill [Calamity].
"Easy," Lindow said as he put his hand on Sofia's shoulder.
Sofia gave him a glance before nodding, not noticing how Houki was looking at her with a smile, though her expression changed to a serious one when she saw how the leader of [Fenrir] started to give his instructions.
"This isn't going to be pretty," said Tatenashi as she shook her head as she watched all the squad leaders begin to prepare.
"I know, let's just hope Cloud can control himself enough not to cause irreparable damage" - replied Houki seriously.
"If I know that idiot well enough, he'll control himself" - Soma replied calmly - "The problem is that all of our allies will take advantage of that control to try to kill him."
Houki and Tatenashi looked at Soma for a few seconds before nodding because they also thought the same thing.
"For now we just have to continue with the mission and hope that things don't end up as bad as we thought" - said Sakuya while shaking her head.
"That's it, you may retreat to prepare for battle!" - exclaimed the Leader of [Fenrir] as he looked at his subordinates - "Remember, this victory is for the sake of humanity!"
"For the sake of humanity!" - [God Eater] exclaimed.
"For the good of humanity" - muttered Lindow sarcastically because it was obvious that the leader of [Fenrir] was doing it for his own benefit.
"The worst thing is that many of the people gathered here, believe his words" - said Sakuya while shaking her head.
Sofia felt a little bad because she originally believed in the sweet words of [Fenrir]'s leader as well.
"Whatever, let's go get ready for now" - said Lindow seriously, only to notice how two men approached their location - ". . ."
"Sorry for the interruption" - said one of the men as he looked at the group - "Lord Jacob requires the presence of Lady Sleipnir and Lady Garm."
"We?" - Sophia asked with a frown as she did not expect them to be sent for.
"Ok, let's go immediately, please tell Jacob-sama to give us a few seconds to make preparations for the mission" - replied Houki calmly.
"Ok, I'll inform him" - replied the man before retreating.
"Are you sure it's a good idea not to go right away?" - Sofia asked as she looked at her friend.
"The mission has priority" - replied Houki calmly - "If you count that it was he himself who gave it to us."
"You know very well that Lord Jacob doesn't like to be kept waiting" - said Sofia with a frown.
"I know, but we're not keeping him waiting, we're just getting ready so we can leave immediately for the mission when we're done talking to him" - replied Houki calmly. She was sure that Jacob wouldn't be angry about something as simple as this, more so when there was such a dangerous mission around the corner.
"I guess you're right," Sofia muttered as she shook her head.
