It had been roughly an hour since and Rochester was still stuck up in his company. After finding out what Louisa had done, he took to the wine store, somewhere on the ground floor. And even after one bottle succeeded the next, Rochester could still not draw a clear-cut conclusion. He could still not fathom why he'd come to have such poor luck in women. Was he under a curse?

Rochester's mind was a madhouse.

He wasn't himself right there and the harder he thought of it, the more he knew that this wasn't him...

After Gwennette's refusal in the past, he had vowed to never break down for any woman. Especially not a woman as shameful as Louisa. Not even after Giselle's multiple rejections did he allow himself to fall into such misery as this one.
