บท 41: Deal With It

Julian didn't say anything to the kids until they were at the clothes store when he asked them to pick out a few outfits, some pajamas, and so on. They did so feeling rather antsy. When were those DNA results going to come out? They needed to hurry up so they could convince him to help!

As soon as that was done, he took them back to his apartment. It was the same one he lived in two years from now but there was even less in it. If Rosalind had to guess, he moved in recently and hadn't had time to buy much furniture yet. 

They sat down side by side on the couch anxiously awaiting the results to come in. Julian refreshed his email inbox every few minutes to no avail for half an hour before they finally showed up. 

He looked up at them with a resigned sigh. "I thought so. You are my kids after all. This should be impossible but I'm here looking at you so it clearly isn't. Can I see the time machine?"
