บท 92: 89 Drink
As I was about to take a left turn to his room, I met my captain dressed in his captain clothes with Kiyone and Sentarō beside him.
"Ah Kentaro, what brings you here?" My captain asked.
"I was about to pick you up now that your discharged but it seems I was beated to it." I said. I gave the two a nod as they all greeted back.
"Well it's okay, we can go back to the barracks together."
"Mn." I joined The duo back to the barracks.
"Hiifff haaahh, there's nothing better than the smell of home." My captain said happily.
"Yeah! And both Sentaro and also took care of the plants!" Kiyone said.
"Well thank you." Junichiro said.
We continued on our way but stopped when we heard a voice.
"Hey Junichiro, your finally discharged, good to see you finally healed." We turned around and saw Shunsui.
"You too Shunsui."
"Well now that your healed, why don't we have a drinking party to celebrate?" Shunsui said.
"Captain Shunsui, please don't, the last time we throwed a party Nanao-san and I had to stay up late to clean up the mess." I deadpanned the captain.
"Okay okay, how about just the 5 of us?"
"No thanks captain we have something to do!" Kiyone and Sentaro immediately went away, the last drinking party had ended up in some of them being bare chested and there were a lot of hair mazes.
They were afraid what crazy things they might do while drunk.
Watching the duo run away, Shunsui turned to us and said, "Well I guess its just the three of us now."
"Mhn." I had a feeling that even if I were to say I don't want to, the both of them will still ask me to stay.
We moved to an empty room that was no one normally passes and sat down.
"Are you sure that you should be drinking captain? You just got out of the hospital." I asked.
"Of course not, I know that so I'm just gonna drink some refreshing tea." Jūshirō asked for a cup and Shunsui gave him one.
The former took out some ingredients that he had been holding onto and started brewing tea.
"Here."
Shunsui handed me a bottle of wine and we waited for Jūshirō to finish brewing his tea. When he was done we clicked our glasses and drank in silence.
After a while, my captain spoke up.
"Kentaro, can you tell me about that space ability of yours?"
Shunsui also nodded at his words.
"I'm sorry to say this but you need to tell us, another similar situation jus-"
"I know, you guys are afraid that I might become someone like Aizen because he also hid his Kyoka Suigetsu right?" I said.
"Yeah."
I took a sip of the wine and said. "Well there's really nothing much to say, along with fire my zanpakutō also gave me the ability to control space."
Both the captains raised their brows.
"She never told me about it. The only thing that was close to her hinting that I have it was her telling me that there will be a surprise for me if I could use it before sending me out of my inner world."
"I only learnt about it when I was on patrol duty a year ago and there was a human in front of me about to be eaten by a hollow from behind so I wished that I was in front of him, the next thing I knew I was face to face with the hollow while the human was behind me."
"And?" Shunsui asked.
"Nothing much, I killed the hollow and checked if the human has any injuries, to which the answer is he was unharmed, then I wiped his memory and got back to patrolling wondering how I did that."
"At first I thought I could teleport to a place in front of me but then I tried to teleport around my surroundings. I found out that I could teleport to a distance of 5 meters around me."
"Did you ask your zanpakutō?" My captain asked.
"Yeah, after I got back to patrolling I asked her but she said that it wouldn't be a surprise if she told me and that my ability wasn't as simple what I thought it was."
"After that, well it was just me experimenting and finding out more and more about my ability. Until eventually I came to a conclusion that I could control space and the range of how far my control can increase the more I get stronger." "
"Of course there's a limit on how long and how much I could use my powers depending on my reiryoku." I took a gulp of the wine and waited for both captains to digest the information they just heard.
