บท 76: Chapter 76: Goodbye
Fighting someone like Obito was all about speed, precision and timing, if Naruto was fast and precise enough and timed it just right, then, he'd be able to hit Obito before he used his Kamui, and he was able to block all of Obito's attacks by just attacking Obito without defending, in this case, offense was the best defense.
"You really are getting on my nerves," Obito said while he charged at Naruto.
Naruto simply laughed and charged at Obito again, "I could say the same about you." Naruto said to Obito while he punched through Obito's head.
"Well, since we're getting nowhere you can tell me why you decided to take over Yagura and Kirigakure, it would save me a lot of time," Naruto said while once again punching at an intangible Obito.
"There's no point in telling you since you'll be dead after this either way." Obito said and jumped backward.
Naruto raised an eyebrow, he didn't expect Obito to back off, but he didn't mind as it gave him enough time to awaken the Second Gate of Heaven.
Obito was about to say something but he was interrupted by the explosion of chakra that came off of Naruto.
The chakra cloak around Naruto exploded and it covered everything 10 meters in his surroundings.
"The Second Heavenly Gate: Gate of Nature, open!"
The chakra that previously surrounded Naruto took on a qualitative change even further enhancing Naruto's strength, speed, and defense, this gate was different from the first one, it allowed Naruto to regain his health at 500% efficiency, it basically made him immortal as long as he had it equipped, but the chakra strain was crazy as Naruto did not regain chakra nearly fast enough to use this gate for more than two minutes, but Naruto could easily cheat it as he used the chakra stored in Samehada to refill his own, and the amount of chakra in Samehada was enough to use the second Gate for over a day, continuously.
Obito was shocked, he assumed that Naruto was using some secret technique to enhance his strength and that he was in his final form, but it seemed he was completely wrong as Naruto had grown far stronger than he was before.
"You, what did you do? Such a monstrous technique, I admit it is quite impressive, but I doubt that you can use it for long." Obito grinned under his mask, this fight wouldn't take long after all.
Naruto's face had lost all humor, he wasn't taking this fight very seriously but play time was over, he liked fighting but Obito needed to be defeated as quickly as possible.
Naruto didn't say a word but simply disappeared, the ground where he stood exploded as he dashed at Obito immediately appearing next to Obito sending a vicious kick at his masked face.
Obito was lucky that he was still intangible as he would have been a few seconds late, he would've most likely received a serious wound from that attack, a drop of sweat ran down Obito's eyebrow.
'Huh? Sweat?' Obito thought to himself, he couldn't remember the last time he had a fight where he had sweated.
Obito was filled with rage, the world was truly unfair, if only he had a technique like that, maybe he could've saved Rin.
"Tch, I really hate people like you, you get handed everything on a golden platter, you don't even have to worry about being able to eat, but what would you know you brainwashed Konoha scum!" Obito shouted at Naruto.
Naruto was taken aback, "You say that as if you know what I've gone through." Naruto stated.
Naruto and Obito stood across each other, both looking in the other's eyes.
"You know, I was hated by my village for simply being a Jinchuriki, I struggled to find food within my own home, yet you say I have not struggled, even though you know very well what Jinchuriki go through," Naruto said calmly.
Obito simply glared at Naruto, he was undoubtedly angry "Tch, I really do hate people like you, but it seems that you have bested me today, Uzumaki Naruto, we shall see each other again soon, you won't survive next time." Obito said and disappeared into his portal.
'Well then, I guess we won't defeat him today, but you are quite quick to use me in your lies, you brat.' Kurama said in Naruto's mind.
The serious aura around Naruto disappeared and his cheerful aura reappeared, 'Well, no one can confirm or deny whether I'm telling the truth or not so does it really matter? Either way, Obito clearly hates Konoha and he is a lot less dead than Kakashi made him out to be, he is extremely dangerous so we should warn the old man about him.' Naruto replied to Kurama.
Naruto looked around the battlefield he was in and noticed the number of craters that he had created along with the ginormous lake that he made, speaking of that Naruto wondered where Yagura had gone, he had completely forgotten about Yagura while fighting.
Naruto looked around and noticed Yagura standing on a hill not too far from where he fought Obito, so he tensed his legs and appeared next to Yagura creating yet another crater.
"You were certainly very helpful," Naruto said while he deadpanned at Yagura.
"I saw no need to help you so I decided to simply watch," Yagura replied coldly.
Naruto glared at Yagura and turned around, "So what are you gonna do now?" He asked Yagura.
Yagura looked at Kirigakure in the distance, it was in flames, "The residents of Kirigakure will never accept me anymore for the sins I have committed are too grave, I will roam around the Shinobi World for a while, if you ever need my assistance then simply use this scroll." Yagura handed Naruto a scroll, "It allows you to send me a single message, after which it will become unusable, I hope that I can atone for my sins but this will be goodbye for now, I am thankful for you, I would still be killing my own people if not for you, so truly thank you." Yagura said and bowed to Naruto.
